Enter your squats and your lifts. In under a minute you will see exactly what you could be capable of lifting, and the fastest way to get there. Built on the ratios of elite lifters by 2016 Olympian Sonny Webster.
Can you hit full squat depth?Hips below the knees, heels down, torso upright
Solid overhead position?Bar locked out and stable, over the base of your neck
Here is the truth: you will never get to use the strength you have built without a good bar path and solid positions. That is what efficiency is. The strength is there. It is leaking out before it reaches the bar.
Sonny breaks down exactly why this happens, and how fast it can be fixed.
It is not a strength problem. It is a leak. And it comes down to two things.
The bar has to travel in a straight, efficient line. Every centimetre it drifts is power lost and a lift missed. Fix the path and the same effort suddenly makes the lift.
You have to be able to receive the bar in a strong, stable position. Without the range of motion, the strength has nowhere to go. Get the position and your strength finally has somewhere to land.
Get these two right and the kilos show up fast, often in weeks, because you are not building new strength. You are finally using what you already have.
